The Institute of Development and Management and Governance traces its roots from the Management of Agricultural and Rural Development (MARD) program which was created on 08 March 1979. During those 26 years IDMG has conferred degrees upon many graduates, and the number of those alumni who stay active in various countries and fields of work is increasing. In line with this, the newly appointed IDMG Director wants to initiate an establishment of IDMG Alumni Association.

Strengthening the network of these graduates along with preserving good relations between them and IDMG will become increasingly important in the future. The role of the Alumni Association is to operate as a channel for advice and suggestions from the graduates, maintain their continued attention and interest in the faculty, and at the same time provide the current students with useful information for finding work after graduation. In other words, it is to act as a bond between IDMG and the outside academic society.
